One dreaded word for you all : Housework!! Heres the question : does it EVER end? No seriously. Not like never have to do anything again. But a day where mount washmore disappears or where the floors dont looks like a hurricane has hit. Tell me there is a day it all gets easier! Please? These two cuties are the reason for the mess but the reason my heart soars. Totally worth it.
Some days I wish there was a little less washing but then I remember they are learning and playing, those things get messy. So some days there may be half a dozen outfit changes between them. But thats ok. There will come a day when I miss that full laundry hamper. These two little humans are the reason for everything. The reason we do the things we do. They may be the reason i pick something off the floor for the 100th time today or the reason dinner is burnt or the reason I’m a Mombie some days but they are the best thing that ever happened to me. It’s days like today – where is sit in bed with a miserable sick and teething 7 month old and my son is having fun a few behavioural issue – that I sit back and reevaluate and realise that this bad time shall pass, just like it has every other time. And to be grateful for the two beautiful humans we created and are sculpting. The most important job I will ever have is teaching these two babies everything and anything, giving them a head start in life. Today I am grateful for my children, for my chance at motherhood and for the enternal love that this life brings.
This is my family ^ this is my pride and joy. Where would I be without them?
Mumma monday: what will you do for yourself this week?: This week I aim to fill out my daily dockets to help me manage the week easier. And to go meatless for a week! Challenging in this family but after talking about it and feeling guilty forever, i’m giving vegetarianism a shot. Wish me luck
Until next time x
Ive been so busy with my partner working and the kids and just general life, i totally neglected this blog. Im here again and here to stay. Lately things have been a blur. After having my partner home for a year out of work it has been a major adjustment getting used to just me and the two kids. Not to mention we were trying to juggle everything with one car. That was NOT fun. Now thankfully to my amazing in-laws we have two cars and the days are much smoother. As for the two kids, the 7 month old is having sleeping marathons but everytime i leave she screams so the chores have been glorious….hello mount washmore!
Today is the day I’ve got to take Daisy to the hospital for her review on her dilated kidney. Always dread these days. Babies are just too little to have surgery 😦 she back on amoxcillin(sp?) for another infection also. But on the plus side im stopping at a ladies house who is making Daisy a super cool disney romper. Cant wait to post pics when its done 😍 for anyone who doesnt know me personally, i LOVE Disney ❤
Look at how fast the year is going. I saw a Christmas shirt in my favourite boutique yesterday. Do they really start putting christmas stuff out that early? I though we had until about the end of August. Not that im complaining. Christmas is one of my favourite times of the year, if only it snowed here. .or it was even winter lol.
Im off to the hospital to get her 7 month review. I honestly dont know which is worse -sitting there waiting around 2 hours or hearing her scream her head off for the 40 minute return drive. Hmm
Until next time
Pictured below is her first hair tie and boys talking about gross stuff
This is my new blog site and will be picking up from where the last one left off.
Today was a LONG day. Mr Jake decided he wasnt going to pack his bag but say it was and ended up with nothing but lunch in there. Miss Daisy is getting 4, yes 4, more teeth at once (thats 6 teeth at under 6 months old). After all the commotion of the morning school run we headed off to the PBC expo where we had an amazing day (after Daisy screamed her little head off on the way there because she HATES the car). There were so many things on display there it amazes me every time. I got a small haul this time of wanted and needed items. With Daisy being the clingiest baby ever I was there in need of finding a baby carrier as we have both a sling and a pram and she hates both. Mum on a mission. Sadly, the expo only had 3 baby carriers on offer. The tula i wanted so desperately to try Daisy in was not there – anyone who has one feel free to weigh in and tell me your personal experience. The Miamilly carrier was there But if youre a big lady as i am there is a small bit of trouble. They have an extender strap but didnt bring it to the show therefor i was unable to try my daughter in it. I was NOT bying a carrier without trying miss fussy in it. The baby bjorn has some terrible reviews so i went straight past that one and onto the well known ergo baby. Surprisingly they dont make an extender belt and instead have a very large waist band. Pleasantly suprised there. Ten seconds after the lady helped me get Daisy in, she was all smiles. So much so that we made it to the ergo baby facebook page and also had them take a video of her smiling her head off. So far i love it!!! Bed time is usually a struggle with not being able to leave her (she cosleeps and wont sleep without me there) but tonight i got some valuable time with Jake while she slept in the ergo then transfered straight to her lovetodream swaddle. Score! The rest of the expo was a blur. Supo bottle for both the kids to put their smoothies in. Teether for the teething baby. Mater mothers wash and moisturiser because it rocks and awesome enough a massive deal on a tupperware set. I mean who doesnt like tupperware. Lots of little bits in between that i will post pictures of shortly.
Long day but was nice to get out and about. Exhausted and run off my feet its time to catch some sleep
Until tomorrow ✌
